The Clark Atlanta University community is excited about the opportunity to engage with the lecturer, Trustee and Chair Emeritus Mr. Carl Ware as he shares his experiences as an undergraduate student, alumnus and an American businessman. All first-year students will read Portrait of an American Businessman: One Generation from Cotton Field to Boardroom.” This book authored by Clark Atlanta University’s Trustee and Chair Emeritus Mr. Carl Ware was selected as the first-year required reading for the Clark Atlanta University Class of 2025. This book was selected as a book that would heighten knowledge of black heritage and culture and enhance school spirit and pride. All students were asked to read most carefully and reflectively, to participate in a book discussion session during the academic year. Students in First-Year Seminar complete lyceum requirements and this lecture has been identified and highlighted as a requirement for all students.
