I said 'Son, a Jack-O-Lantern is special because unlike a pumpkin, it does it's best work at night. It has to be cut and carved in order to achieve its purpose, and its insides have to be removed in order to make room for a light that shines through." A native of Brooklyn, New York, Rev. Jenkins earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Morehouse College with Phi Beta Kappa distinction followed by a Masters of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary with a concentration in Practical Theology. In 2009, Rev. Jenkins made Cleveland his home and joined the congregation of the historic Shiloh Baptist Church as Senior Pastor. He has founded a number of ministries that align with his personal passion for the people of God including Manhood That Matters, a platform designed to empower men to live, lead, and love authentically, from within and Team Jenkins Ministries, Inc. which he co-founded to minister to God’s people in the spirit of Luke 4:18-19. Rev. Jenkins has faithfully served as a member of the Board of Directors for Northern Ohio Blood Services of the American Red Cross, and the Board of Trustees for Cuyahoga Community College. In April 2018, Rev. Jenkins was inducted in the College of Pastoral Leadership at Morehouse College. Rev. Jenkins has been recognized by Kaleidoscope Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40” in Greater Cleveland, and featured in Black Enterprise Magazine for Dynamic Careers in Faith and Cleveland Magazine’s Most Interesting People. Additionally, he has served as a contributing writer for the National Baptist Voice, the official publication for the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Rev. Jenkins is currently an Associate Partner with Security Equity Group, a private equity firm that specializes in the acquisition and growth of small to medium-sized businesses in the healthcare, software, and construction sectors.
