Lane College Celebrates Re-Naming of Dining Hall

Posted By: Kennedy Williams on October 19, 2022 Lane College celebrated the re-naming of its dining hall and honored donors John and Jean Potts and Judson and Donna Pickard in a ceremony during the Homecoming 2022 celebration on Friday, October 7. The Judson W. Pickard Jr. and John G. Potts Hall was officially unveiled before a crowd of students, faculty, staff, board members, alumni and friends. The Hall is named in honor of Lanites and lifelong friends Judson Pickard, Jr. ('70) and John Potts ("71). Mr. Pickard is a Cincinnati businessman, philanthropist, and owner of McDonald's franchises. Over a career of more than 40 years, he has owned and operated multiple McDonald's franchises through Pickard Enterprises, with his wife, Donna, and three sons. Mr. Potts has been a successful Detroit owner/operator for McDonald’s for over 30 years. John has received the prestigious Ronald Award. This award is given to the top one percent of McDonald’s owners nationwide. The lifelong friends credit Lane College with providing the foundation for their success!
