Moore on September 01, 2023 HBCU Connect and Kroger joined forces on Thursday, August 24th, 2023, to host a remarkable virtual career pathing event that left an indelible mark on all participants. The event drew students and recent graduates with a keen interest in Retail Management, Tech/IT/Digital, and Supply Chain/Logistics opportunities. The session began with a cordial greeting from HBCU Connect's CEO, Will Moss, and was followed by a presentation by Joshua Grace, a Kroger company HR University Relations liaison. Participants delved into the heart of Kroger's culture and values through an engaging presentation. What truly set this event apart was the chance it provided attendees to explore specific career paths with Kroger employees. A dynamic Q&A session followed, where participants could seek insights about the company and the application process. The grand finale was a networking reception, an opportunity for participants to connect with Kroger's seasoned professionals and gain deeper insights into the company's unique culture. The results were nothing short of astounding. The initial goal of 30 candidates grew into a guest list with almost 380 resumes, 211 enthusiastic confirms, and 97 engaged attendees.
