The event will bring WVSU students, administrators, faculty and staff to Charleston to meet with West Virginia lawmakers, university alumni and the public from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Informational displays will be set up outside the House and Senate Chambers of the State Capitol presenting the variety of educational offerings to be found at WVSU, as well as information on student services, admissions, extension services, athletics and alumni events. If you are interested in attending, the University will be providing a shuttle from campus to the Capitol and back again on Feb. 15. For anyone driving themselves to the Capitol, free parking is provided in the parking lot directly beside Laidley Field. KRT provides transportation from Laidley Field to the Capitol. There are also a limited number of metered spaces available on the Capitol grounds. The Capitol building opens at 7:45 a.m. and there are security checkpoints that visitors must pass through.
