Coppin State University Awarded NCAA Accelerating Academic Success Grant

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on October 09, 2024 Coppin State University’s athletics department has secured a $100,000 grant from the NCAA's Accelerating Academic Success Program for the 2024-25 academic year. This marks the second time in three years that the department has received this prestigious funding. "We are extremely fortunate to receive this grant and look forward to utilizing these funds to enhance our department's academic support services," said Nichole Person, Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator. "Our student-athletes have excelled, achieving an impressive 89% graduation rate, and we look forward to pushing the bar to make sure that everyone can compete inside and out of the classroom." As one of 17 Division I institutions selected, this grant will enhance academic services, including tutoring and technology upgrades.
