Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on October 11, 2024

Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) proudly announces that it will host its first-ever Scholastic Book Fair Oct. 14 to 19, 2024 in the James B. Duke Memorial Library at JCSU. With Smitty & Friends at the helm, this groundbreaking event makes history as the University becomes the first to host a Scholastic Book Fair, a milestone that has not been achieved by any other HBCU or Predominantly White Institution (PWI).

After thorough research and consultation with Scholastic, it is confirmed that Johnson C. Smith University is pioneering this unique event, aimed at fostering a love for reading among young students and providing an interactive literary experience. The Smitty & Friends Scholastic Book Fair will be hosted in the James B. Duke Memorial Library, offering a welcoming space for all attendees.

Purchases made through the Scholastic Book Fair will directly benefit Johnson C. Smith University. Join us as we make history to celebrate the joy of reading with our community.
