From the groundbreaking world tour of the Fisk Jubilee Singers in 1871—whose voices helped earn Nashville the name “Music City”—to generations of composers, educators, and performers, music has always been at the heart of Fisk’s story. Today, that legacy continues with the Fisk University All-Steinway Initiative—a bold $2 million campaign to elevate Fisk as the first HBCU in Tennessee to earn the All-Steinway School distinction. ✨ The first piano has already been gifted by the Fisk, Class of 1975.
