Albany State University will recognize more than 1,300 undergraduate students for their academic performance, research accomplishments, and commitment to excellence in the classroom for Honors Day 2026. This year’s ceremony reflects the theme “Honoring Excellence in Academic Achievement.” The event is coordinated by the Velma Fudge Grant Honors Program, under the leadership of Dr. Florence Lyons, Director, and Ms. Kimberly Whiters, Coordinator. We are honored to welcome Dr. Dana Nichols, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Student Success for the University System of Georgia, who will serve as the keynote speaker.
