I plan on applying early action to Howard and I have a visit on the 25th but to get that was really hard. I called and I called and when i finally got someone on the phone, they weren't even interested or cared that I was really interested in attending there. I don't want to take it personal, but it's really bugging me cause I got all these other "white" schools giving me scholarships and calling my house to speak to me but my heart is totally towards Howard! Im so confused! Someone help me!

ok as an HU student let me give it to ya straight...technically at those other schools they dont really care about you , you are just basically a minority to increase their minority population so they can look like a "diverse community", hint* without affirmative action they most likely would not want you in the first place....WITH THAT said, howard still should not be rude, but heck join the crowd...they were rude to me and others before me but through all that I found out that just the administration has an attitude...but the majority of the students, teachers, etc are hecka cool and you only have to deal with the administration for a short time....and plus at Howard it is such a diverse amount of black experiences, culture, opinions...well heck you just need to visit and basically you shouldnt let the administrationOF ANY COLLEGE shape your decision, notre dame was nice to me administration-wise, but when I went all the teachers AND STUDENTS(majority white students *sigh) thought I was the typical stereotypical athlete from the projects
some teacher even asked me "how did you survive academically being from the ghetto??"...and aint no true ghettos in south georgia lol
