Could Bush/ Future Republican Presidents be our Savior????

Hotep, I've been reseaching and today while I wait for my 12:30pm Political Theories Class, I came upon this article. I thought it presented a well thoughtout plan for the Republicans to Win the Black Vote! www. politicalblack.com (Poly Sci majors may want to make this a favorite) I believe that the Republican Party will make a greater effort to win the black vote because Bush cant win the the reelection with 10%. The Republican party needs to do crate a National Republican Black Outreach Commission that receives full support and endorsement from the White House. Appoint Alan Keys and J.C. Watts as Co-Chairmen. This Commission should execute one or more of the following things: Engage senior black Bush Administration officials (i.e. Rice, Powell) in a comprehensive national marketing campaign. These officials need to communicate what the Party has to offer to the Black community and why it is better. Visually court black leaders and forge some alliance to help address the concerns of the black communities in America. Aggressively recruit conservative black Democrats into the Party and support them to the max. The party also has to present a clear plan to help reduce crime, increase jobs, and insure economical opportunity and empowerment. The **** has to think urban. The Party also has to show that it is a friend of faith-based organizations , which is the center of the black communities. Appoint more qualified Blacks to high profile positions. A very bold step would be to appoint a black press secretary to replace Ari. The Republican Party has to communicate a more moderate view on issue such as: affirmative action, confederate flag issue, vouchers, and funding of social programs. The **** needs to break the bondage that the Democratic Party has over the black people. Bush needs to present himself as the Abe Lincoln II the savior and deliverer of the 21st century "Nero" (please forgive me for using this word) from the 21st century **** masters- the Democratic Party.

i can think of particularly one person from the boards who would agree with this article (*cough*DEM*cough*cough*) but i think it's BS... at this point...if the Republicans all of a sudden tried to help Black people out....like, to the extremes....I would feel there were something fishy cookin' up.... just would seem to convenient for everything going on now.... #1, i don't view the Democratic Party as the "21st century **** masters" :roll:...yeah, there are a few things about that party that I don't necessarily agree with, but...as far as the big hype of Blacks jumping on the "donkey bandwagon" every year...the fact of the matter is, it is common sense.... if you are forced every year to choose between two primary political parties who make the vital decisions of everything that goes on in your everyday life....you obviously aren't going to pick the one that is BLATANTLY not for you... and the remaining party might not do EVERYthing you need....but if they seem to attempt to get a lot more progress done for you and your "people," DUH...it DOESN'T TAKE A ROCKET SCIENTIST. i mean, the rich, wealthy, and prominent figures of society have, for the last decades leaned on the side of the Republican Party, right? so why the hell has society been so on the case of Blacks leaning on the side of the Democratic one?? the wealthy choosing Republican and the minorities choosing Democratic have at least that one thing in common - picking the party we feel will best suit US in the longrun, correct?!?!? okay, so the Republicans need to just let that go... until they can TRUTHFULLY, GENUINELY, and HONESTLY PROVE that they can do better for Blacks (or minorities, in general) than the Democrats have done and continue to strive to do, then most Blacks are going to continue voting Democrat, bottomline...
