FCC Won't Stop Airing of Anti-Kerry Film

In a Nutshell:
- Michael Powell the head of the FCC, has been complained to by 18
democratic senators to investigate the showing of a film by Sinclair
Broadcast Group. The film was due to be shown in 62 markets two weeks before the Nov. 2 election.
The movie chronicles Kerry's 1971 testimony before Congress and links
him to activist and actress Jane Fonda. It includes interviews with Vietnam
prisoners of war and their wives who claim Kerry's testimony demeaned
them and led their captors to hold them longer.

My two cents: This is total hypocrisy on the behalf of the democrats. Where were they when Farenheit 9/11 was being shown in theaters???

Since I work alongside the news media (thank God its not a Sinclair station), I feel obligated to give my $0.02 (or $100).
Sinclair Broadcasting's owners are nothing short of money-grubbing **** bags. This is supposed to be "journalism" but since i've started working in TV, I've found out that its not about news. Its not about keeping the general public informed. Its definitely not about being the "Eyewitness." Its about money. Here's why I say this:
Sinclair's owners are well-known within the media as Bush supporters. The FCC just so happens to be ran by Colin Powells son (nephew or something...a relative none the less). From what I've heard and understand, the Sinclair Broadcasting Company has donated money to the Bush campaign and everything. Now they want to stoop so low as to air an Anti-Kerry program right before the elections. This is not journalism. This is money in the groups pocket. Money that damn well should be in the staff members pockets. Its companies like this that really sour the biz.
I would go back to flipping burgers and working on cars before I worked for a biased **** of a company like Sinclair.
