If a dude says you look nice today, it doesn't mean you don't look nice any other time. It doesn't mean he's judging you by your appearance and it doesn't mean he's just attracted to your style not your substance. He means you look nice today. That's it.
Know his limits. There are certain buttons not to push. You should know what they are, and avoid them.
If you know your man doesn't like you talking about other dudes around him, then don't do it. He knows you know, and assumes you don't respect him enough to care. If he has a trait or weakness that he's sensitive about, don't bring it up. This is not being weakminded, just showing respect.
Also, don't bust his balls about stuff that isn't important. Especially if you know he's having a bad day. If it isn't causing either of you substantial harm, let it slide because he's probably doing the same for you. Guys don't like to argue. When they find themselves arguing a lot, they will start looking for someone else.
Above all, treat your man like he's the light of your life.
If you do, he'll do the same for you, and if he doesn't there is someone who will. We notice little things that you think we don't, and pay attention to signs that you think we can't see. For a guy, someone who appreciates him for who he is is hard to find, and when he finds her he'll usually recognize it. We have feelings too and don't appreciate being disrespected or talked down to. In other words respect given is respect earned.

Good stuff to know & keep in mind... :wink: I am guilty of doing some of those things. For example, testing a guys limits. I tend to do it without even thinking too much about it.
