Prairie View has great professors and staff. I'm a transfer student and i'm adjusting well to PV. [I LOVE it]. I suggest you come down and speak to professors in your field, to get a feel of what its like, and to hear from them. I have a friend...who is a freshman and her major is social work...i'm sure she'd be glad to let you know how her first semester in college is going...i'm a Journalism major with a minor in english, and i must say my department is satisfying my needs. Nursing is good her, Computer Science and Computer Engerneering is very good...i will be honest at PV...you kinda on your own...basic things like making sure you finacial aid is in order, your rent and stuff like that...you must act like an adult and take care of those things yourself...get your stuff in check...because they don't play when it comes to their money...LOL...the freshmen stay in apartments call the University College...the set up is basically two beds...with a bathroom in the middle separting them...so each person has their own side of the room...2 people share a room...thats it...2 people...one bath...a desk...and frankly its not that bad...every freshman should experience it....and all the freshmen live together...then there is the University Villages for upperclassment...there is Phase I and II and then Phase III [you have to have a 3.0 to stay in phase III] this is where i reside!!! basically they have four bedroom,...two bath set up...with full kitchen...or 2 bedroom...2 bath set up with kitchen [again this is what i have]...just FYI...anyone staying on campus MUST have a meal plan!!!! and the food is not that bad....personally i'm content..i actually like it.....can't comment on boys because i don't want to hurt anyone's feelings..not concentrating on them right now...i'm here personally to get an education....but for the most part..you have you variety. PV is a great school..but check it out for yourself..
