The Sharptons said in a statement Friday that they "will remain on the best of terms." Sharpton, a black activist from New York City, was a contender for the Democratic presidential nomination, but fared poorly in the early primaries and withdrew to support John Kerry at the summer convention. The pair "have extremely active careers and their separation allows them to continue pursuing their work interests," the statement said. "They will continue to work together in their civil rights work and in their other business ventures, including those in the entertainment industry." "Together they have successfully raised two daughters, one of whom started college this year, and the other of whom will be graduating high school in June," the statement said.

wow....this is shocking....they were at Wyatt T. Walkers Banquet not too long ago....my dad is good friends with Wyatt T. and Al Sharpton and all em'....so he was invited....my parents sat right across from Al and his wife....his wife is crazy funny....she is a hilarious woman.... man... btw...Roberta Flack (sp) was there...she tried to pick up my father....for the second time.... :roll:
