Im from Philly and we have a pretty decent public transportation service. I plan on going to Hampton next year and since you cant have a car I was wondering how the transportation is down there for the students to get around. Let me know Hamptonians or peeps from VA.

I've honestly never ridden the bus. I don't have any common sense when it comes to that, I'd end up getting lost

I laugh at Hampton's public transportation coming from the DC Metro Area...
Let's just say u won't be needing it.

HRT is a joke. Get tight with someone who has a car.
You can get around, and relatively cheap, but the hassle probably isn't worth it. The routes are pretty haphazard, so it can take an hour to get to a destination 10 minutes away, or three transfers to get down the street.
Taking the bus isn't the end of the world, especially if the schedule coincides with yours. But don't rely upon it. Holla!
the HRT song goes hard tho
"holly rides the trolley..lemme stop"
that joint is pretty much non-existant...
i mean, its there, but like someone else said, they're not schedule friendly. you gots ta be on their time, and their time isn't very convient.
a buddy wit a friend is mos def your best bet
HRT is a mockery of the public transportation system! Coming from NY I had to learn that the hard way. It comes when it wants to and stops service at around 8pm. But, it's not that hard for someone with no car to get around. Like the others already said, find a nice upperclassman with a car.
