Does it Make me Shallow?

Okay so there is this dude.... He's a nice guy, he has a good heart. There are two problems though: 1....he's extremely negative and hangs out with other negative people; 2....he's unnattractive to me because he's extremely overweight. Not only is he overweight, but he is always clownin other people who aren't even as big as him. He even told me that if I gained 10 pounds he would have to say sumthin. However, I think I might be willing to work with the negativity if he was overweight. My best friend told me not to feel bad about not liking him, because even if he wasn't overweight I still wouldn't be feeling him. But, I still feel like a superficial space cadet (yes I said it). So I guess this poses another question, is it wrong to like someone for their good points, but not be physically attracted to them? I really need some input from the fellas on this one.

If you aren't attracted to him, then you just aren't. It will show up eventually, so you should be honest with yourself and not feel obligated to stay because of guilt. You already said you don't like his personality or his appearance. I don't know what's left for you, except if he's ridiculously rich. So you probably know what the next step needs to be. Otherwise you're going to get on each other's nerves until one of you blows up, then you'll wish you hadn't wasted that time. Just my 2 cents. Holla!

I am goin through the exact same situation with this guy. To me he is a lil overweight, and Im not physically attracted to him....But his personality is such a plus that it startin to out weigh ( haha :lol: ) the other stuff. I dunno man just go with your gut (haha :lol: ) about that one. Also remember that..... :arrow: Looks are not goin to make u tea and fix u a bath when u are sick :arrow: Looks are not goin to be there when u are feelin down :arrow: Looks are not goin to rub your feet after a long day so just remember that :wink:
