I will have to say being in a group without a date for the simple fact thats emabarrasing, when you show up without a date you can play that off but if you with a group that just being a third wheel or whatnot.

There's nothing wrong with going to prom alone. the only thing is you should go with a group of people who also are alone. I think if you are with a gruop of people and they are with dates you'll feel like a third wheel.
