ALRIGHT, MANY OF YOU OUT THERE THAT WERE BORN IN THE MID EIGHTIES MAY NOT REMEMBER THIS, BUT TO ALL MY PEEPS BORN 76-80, DON'T YOU MISS THE NEW JACK SWING ERA (90-95) WITH ARTISTS LIKE GUY. GUY WAS THE SH!T BACK IN THE DAYS. ALSO BELL BIV DEVOE, I LOVED BELL BIV DEVOE. "POISON" "TELL ME WHEN WILL I SEE YOU SMILE AGAIN" BRING BACK MEMORIES JUST THINKING ABOUT IT.REPLY IF YOU REMEMBER THIS ERA AND HAVE SOME ARTISTS YOU LOVED OR SONGS YOU LOVED BACK IN THE DAYS.

I was born in 1984 and ofcourse I remember that era. R&B music was at it's best back then: H-Town Jodeci Michele Brownstone Jade Anquette Shai Troop BlackSheep Old school R.Kelly Old school Keith Sweat Public Announcement, back when R.Kelly was singing with them Old school SILK I use to LOVE BEL BIV DEVOE's "Poison" Guy was the ****, remember Teddy Riley when came out with "Rumpshaker"? That was the joint! And Shabba Ranks and Patra use to be on point to. The list goes on and on.....

Finally somebody that knows about Troop. All I Do Is Think of You is one of my all-time favorite songs. Don't forget Rough Boys and Intro, they may have only had one popular CD apiece, but they were the sh*t back then.

Oooh that's me all day. I have most of those albums and be in my room bumpin em like I'm playin the new Ying Yang Twinz. Man I love that kind of music... :wink:

I forgot about Patra! that was my girl hey any of yall remember the "Jamaican me Sweat" fitness video? they used to have the commercial for it on BET all the time, i just saw it at the library the otha day lol

New Jack as an era ended in 1993; one of the last hits was Aaron Hall's "Don't Be Afraid". Gangsta Rap had firmly supplanted hip-hop and R & B blends as the preferred urban music and grunge rock had become the preferred suburban music. The new type of R & B, including Shai, Mary J., Monica, Silk, Total and Blackstreet was known as Hip Hop Soul. Just a lil music lesson
