tell me this...is southern hospitality an actual fact, or jus a myth
Cause up here most are about as cold as tha weather we be getting (especially here at the University of Toledo but thats another topic)
Bout 2 years ago i went to Birmingham for my family reunion and we were at this resturant and tha wierdest thing happened...tha front clerk ask me about my day, and SHE WAS ACTUALLY INTERESTED!!...i didnt even kno her! i was feelin' that lol
Hey I live in Cleveland and I went to school down in VA...ooo wait thaz not really tha "south" to me. but anyhow tha south is somewhat slower but u will get used to it...tha weather is good tho....
Weather: Expect warmer weather. Not really snowy down here. Rain's a lot in certan regions in the South and certain places like Texas, it doesn't rain as much as it does up here.
People: Being that I moved to VA and come across mostly, eastern & northern folk so I definetly see a difference in personalities. Southern people, well at least were I come from, not really up on the "I got look like this or keep this reputation cause I don't want nobody trying to get off on me or carry me" type of personality. Most of us just don't give a f*** about how people view us. We like doing our own thng. There is also a difference in attitudes and hospitality too. Southern people, at least were I come from, won't know you but would welcome you into their house and ask if you wanted a plate. But every region has different type of people and you really can't prejudge the region as a whole cause you got nice and mean people all over.
F*** all that "the south is slow" mess that I hear all the time. A lot of people can't even explain how they're city is "faster".Every state I guarantee has farms, fields, and slower towns. We just have bigger states and larger areas in the South so it might look countrier or slower than most. We have major cities as well, Dallas, my city, being one of them, who has one of the best economies and the best working environments in the nation.
But I'm from the south and I lack common sense so what I said probably really doesn't matter anyway.
