What up? It's been official for a while, but I'll be attending Howard University in the fall of 2005 as a freshman. I got accepted early action, and now am being considered for the Legacy scholarship after re-taking the SAT in January. Basically I wanted to get some info on the real HU. I know you current Bisons hate to spit out info for us clueless incoming freshman, but I'd appreciate some responses. For one, is Drew Hall the only male freshman dorm? If so do they have community bathrooms? And are the bathrooms shared between 2 rooms and 4 people, or are they just on the hall with a million dudes. I took a tour of HU last spring, but they didn't take us into any dorms. Thanks is advance ya'll. I just cannot wait to get on campus. One more thing,
, is it true that sophmores can move into the towers if they are in the honrs programs in their coleges. Thanks again.

I'll take the DHP (Drew Hall Projects) question.
On each hall, except for the 1st floor, there is a community bathroom on each wing, meaning that there are two community bathrooms per floor. Most, if not all, Freshman males live in Drew. This is where you're gonna meet most of your boys. Any other questions about Drew? Just holla

Good look branded. So whats on the first floor in regard to bathrooms? Whats the ratio of guys to one community bathroom. Like how many showers are there, and stalls, and sinks? I hate asking lame questions like this, but im just curious. Also, does each room just hold 2 people, and are the okay size. I know i went to hampton, and their dorm rooms were soooooo small. My two best friends and I are all going to Howard, and we think its impossible to room all together. Are there any triple rooms or conjoined rooms with 4 people. I might be the odd one out. thanks again in advance.

If you're a freshie guy, more than likely you'll be in Drew. There is a chance that u could end up in Carver (which has upperclassman guys as well), or Slowe and Meridian which are both co-ed. I'd say u have a safe bet with Drew tho.
And yes, u can definately go to the Towers (eastside) soph. year if u are in the honors program. That's where i'll be next year, woo hoo!
. Well, that's if i can keep my gpa on point. Let's pray on that one folkz :?

P.S.: Heatseakerz, Drew Hall is a pretty good dorm tho compared to other colleges. It's kept pretty clean in the bathrooms, and no the showers aren't open if you were wondering

I am considering bringing my car so I get around, you know to the store and things like that. What do you all think? Do you think it is wise for a first year student @ HU to bring their car? Its gonna feel kinda weird not havin my car fa real.
