It hit me when I had to do some soul searching and realize that I didn't want to be a doctor. It would have been real easy to just go along with what everyone wants from me, but I had to make the change for myself. I can only live my life for me, so it doesn't matter how **** anyone else is that it's not what I'm going to be. I felt like a real grown **** woman after I did that.

Being a grown **** woman doesn't necessarily mean having to take on responsibilties. Yes I have responsibilites but I am also not on my own either. I realized I was a grown **** woman when I analyzed my life and grown from the experiences that I've been through. I am not the same person that I used to be. Maybe I didn't explain that good enough. But all that matters is that I know that I have matured into a grown **** woman. Don't tell my parents I said that though, they will try to flip the script lol

I've been making my own decisions and doing what's best for me for a long time now, I'm pushing 22 and I'm about to finish up this first degree. Combine that with all of the ish I've been through and how I've handled certain issues and situations I've encountered...yeah, I'm a grown **** woman. (Now it's time for me to get a grown **** apartment and a grown **** job in Texas. )

I realized that I was a Grown Woman when I was able to stand on my own two feet and be self sufficient. I also learned how to haddle certain situations on my own. I am emotionally strong and can walk with my head up and be the strong black Women that God created me to be. I am secure anough in myself to be able to stand and make it in this world that to me makes me a grown mature women and more. ... :-)

:???: i know i have no buisness commenting here, but in my opinion, women don't begin to mature until about age 30...33ish...yeah i see alot of women with degrees, own cars, bills, and whatnot, but i can easily see the 14 year old in most chicks ages 20 to 25ish... i dunno i guess i group women ages 16 to 25 all in the same catogory... 8-) (nessa)

I don't know what kind of females you know but most women are mature by 30. I believe that life is a growing/maturing process there was not an age where I woke up and was like...hold up I'm a woman! I do consider myself to be an adult and a woman not because of my age, not because I pay bills(I was doing that when I was 16) but because I've come to a point in my life where I don't have to make excuses for my behavior, not because I don't make mistakes but because I am accountable for all of my actions, and once you hold yourself to be accountable for your behavior then there will be no need to try and make excuses for what you do. But it's crazy cause I see how much I've matured just in the last year, and to think in about five years I'm going to look back to this moment and say "Dang I thought I was mature but I had alot more growing to do!"
