I met this girl today and she had a very different type of exotic look to her so I asked her what her nationality was and she said she honestly didn't know...I thought that was kind of weird but has anyone ever met anyone like that?

my roommate Dominique is kinda like that. It's obvious that she's african american but if you stay around her you start to notice other strong features she has. When we asked her did she have anything else in her she was like yeah but she doesn't know. Her grandmother looks german and has red hair but her grandmother doesn't know what she is. Domo said something about her grandmother was separated from her family (you know how it was back in dem days). It look like she got some Indian in her too, not that Native American stuff but that real Indian you know from India, lol. I told her she need to get her DNA tested or whatever da hell it is that they do to find out ya background. My aunt did that for us and blah blah blah.......

LAWWWWWWDy, Carrie..... lol ANYway... don't think i've ever known anyone who just had no clue whatsoever who they were... but i have known a few who said they were one thing and one thing only...but looked like they were more than likely a few others too, lol like this one guy i know...he says he's only Black...but EVERYone who knows him (including myself) think he looks, acts, and even speaks like he at LEAST has a strong Mexican influence somewhere close in his lineage.... and a female i know....same situation - she tells people she's "Black" & that's it....yet everyone is convinced she has other racial/ethnic influences in her......I don't ever think about it, actually, but others have asked me if I know if she has anything else in her, lol...i'm like HOW WOULD I KNOW?!? LoL....but yeah...mostly her hair and skin complexion is what has everyone thinking she's something more.... and how ironic it is that i've known really darker-complexioned people who claim they are of everything BUT African descent...*smh*

Yeah...I have a friend that has never met her dad. She's only seen pics and he looks black, and her mom is white. But she is so yellow and has soft, curly hair, and she said that no one in her family has her hair. So...we think she's mixed. With what? That's the mystery.

She probably is just black. All my aunts and uncles, and my father, have freckles, light hair, and light eyes... but they just tell people theyre all black. They are half Irish, but dont tell people that.

me.. i am like that except i will always say i am a 100% black knowing my **** aint, and that i am mixed with so many things but since i have darker skin, people will always see me as black except when they look at my features or my hair or my family they will see that i am not all black and prob only part of it. People who are from the domincan republic or Brazil, or Puetro Rico will ask if i am from there or another Latin American country, or people will ask if i am East Indian or something but my parents have always taught me about my Black heritage and how strong black people are, so the other things that compromise me aren't as important anymore it came with slavery, and it something i dont acknowledge
