Frats/Soror's and GPA

I've wanted to be apart of a certain Black frat and have my goals set on it but the only thing is i currently have a 2.2 but with freshman forgivness taking my worst grade away and summer school grads i should have about a 2.5 overall gpa.
i saw that some frats require a certain gpa what is the gpa for your frat and do you think that they will check?

If I may answer as a non-Greek...
Most Pan-Hellenic organizations require at least a MINIMUM 2.5 GPA. However, the closer you are to a 4.0, the better. And no offense, but you asked a question that a little bit of research could have answered for you. Whatever fraternity (or better yet, all of the fraternities) you were interested in, look on their national websites and find out each required GPA.
Some schools may require a higher GPA than the nationals, so be aware of your campus standards as well.

Yep... I don't know bout others but I'm not looking for mediocrity to become a part of my organization, and I'm sure the same applies to whatever u wish to get into.
Academics along with other things are indicative of what kind of person you strive to be. There are other things but again think about the other cats you are competing with.
What seperates you from the rest? :arrow:
