bout time somewhere they have classes. i think people do need to learn something. in my county my mom said when she was little they had classes but the superintendent said the only way they were going to teach black history was over his **** body. and as for other races they should have classes of that too but blacks made this country no matter what anybody says

Blacks look like fools everyday....Why? 1. Materialistic(Dubs, Women, Expensive Clothes that dont mean Sh*t)...While the white man is buying things that will help themselves 2. Ignorance..... our Black Generation today does not want to learn about the past.....they want to learn when 50 Cent's new shoes are coming out. 3. The White Supremacy System....Always want to f**k becuase it's "in" and everyone does it....made to feel inferior...baby pimping....****....alcohol...it's quite sad when I look on this message board and look at the pure ignorance of my Peers because they werent brought up well by parents. Were doomed.... Negative Post deez nuts ****....I speak the truth, and nothing but the truth. ;-) Keep smoking that weed while I succeed.
smh.... :x

ok so I agree with some of what you said...but not this...true, quite a few blacks are like this, but then again America as a whole is Ignorant. This is why u watch Jay Leno's Jaywalking segment and most of tha ppl on there who don't know who the vice president is are COLLEGE students (and most of them are white!) Why tha hell u think we keep getting in wars with tha same few countries? They always say, if you dont know history, u are bound to repeat it. Whites and others in this country are just as ignorant about history as blacks are. But I digress, Anyway, I am glad Philly is being a leader in this, hopefully other districts across the country will follow. The colleges need to do this as well, my college requires a class in diversity to graduate...but to me that's not good enough.

Malcolm X mentality huh? Well to each his own... And anyway our african american history class in my high school was a joke...everyone took it for an easy A, they didn't really learn anything. But I did like the African American his class I took at Hampton, my teacher was pretty decent.

My African American class was dumb hard! Lots of people took the class even some white people. I learned so much and my teacher is like a second dad to me. Its all about havin a good teacher or being personally interested in your history or the class isn't worthwhile.
