How deep does the rabbit whole really go...
*note: this post is for people who are already members of Fraternities, Sororities, Freemasonry, OES, etc. I can't say the uninitiated can't put their 2 cents in but i'm not sure if there is anything that you can offer from the outside looking in however if you do have something offer please think before you speak.
Well, after askign the right questions and the right people I've had the pleasure of being enlightened to what some of the more deeper meanings are of certain things within my fraternity. I know during and post rit many of the "whats" in regards to things significant to my org were revealed however, the "whys" were just skimmed on the surface.
As a neo I didn't know any better and never really took the initiative to look deeper but as I matured in my org I began to notice different things and eventually began my quest to explain the "whys" that were left kind of open post-rit. The things that i discovered would end up blowing my mind and even increasing the deep respect that i already had for my org.
I just wanted to know has anybody else in their respective organization attempted to or ever thought about looking into the things taught to them even further? I actually know quite a few people of various orgs who are hesitant to do so or cats who could care less about these things. Where do you stand?

It is my desire to know everything that i can possibly know. When u truly love something, u want to discover the very depths of it and understand why it is what it is, and how it came to be. True enuff, i have learned ALOT thus far, but i am not naive enough to believe that i have even really scratched the surface. I'm just a neo. Everything runs so deep, so the information is never ending. That's why i enjoy talking to more seasoned sorors, or more seasoned greeks period. The wisdom in their spirit and the fire in their heart just amazes me. I try to absorb all that i can becuz i know that everything is a constant learning experience.
And this even just goes beyond my organization. I think it's important to just be aware of history period. Everything affects u whether u are cognizent of it or not. That's why i never try to limit myself....ya never know what u could stumble across.

Back to the subject at hand.
I'm the type that probes deeper for information, facts and new ideas especially when it comes to the many organizations I'm involved in. I have to know what it is I'm going to represent. I never take anything at face value. I was taught early on to Learn how to Learn.
To me it's more beautiful to know WHY.

And Nate...that sort of ties into your last post. I think alot of people don't care to know becuz they get into this for the wrong reasons. If u are a shallow/superficial person, slappin three letters on your chest isn't going to change your persona.
