You still coming to AAMU, right? Bring EVERYTHING that will entertain your ****! Especially the videogames. There will be many times when you'll be finished up on the schoolwork/studying or whatever, and the only thing else to do is either play some playstation, or get into some trouble (or into someONE). Oh, and dont forget the bug spray and body-insect repellant. We got flies around here the size of buzzards. Some of AAMU's dorms has roach problem too....especially on the first floor (Foster anybody?).

Cosign. If u aren't less than 45 minutes away from home or u know there is a chance u won't come home often, bring all your stuff. We just rent a van or SUV to bring all my stuff down to my dorm

Well I see your coming from Ohio to Alabama, well here's a tip from me. Since I came from California to FAMU here in Florida. Basically, all I bought on the plane with me was like 4 suitcases full of clothes, hair assecories, shoes, and that's about it. Then when you get to Alabama go to wal mart or something and then by like your TV, stereo, iron, towels, little plastic storage cases. Cuz if you're going to ship your TV and stereo and stuff that's going to cost the same as shipping so might as well by everything new. Ohh and when you have to move out of your dorm and stuff, if you have family in Alabama then just move your stuff in there with them while you go back home to visit. If you don't have anybody in AL then put it in storage which is really cheap.

Coming from Connecticut to Florida...I had to ship all my stuff via UPS...and I say bring MOST things that entertain you not all...Remember you are working with limited space with another person...and alotta times people bring too much and dont have a place to put it...But I say the basic stuff to bring as far as entertainment is the tv, dvd player, stereo, and videogames if u gamer...But yea...dont OVER DO it...

Now that I read Jamilas post....do NOT bring everything that entertains you. You probably wont have enough space (unless you wanna rent a storage garage). You probably wont need everything either. Check and see if your roomate has a playstation. You dont wanna risk theft/damage to your valuables if your roomate already has something similar. Plus, you probably wont have time for ALL of it.
