Dream Busters...

Hello everyone! Have you ever told anyone about a dream career or goal you have and they completely shot you down, as if you could never make it? I want to become a gynecologist and some people look at me and are like, "That's so gross!", "You'll never make it!" or "Trust me. You're making a mistake wasting your life trying to be something like that." So I look back at them and I'm like, "Yeah that's what I want to be and you'll be looking for me in a heartbeat if you ever get burned" This happens to me all the time, when I'm asked what my future plans are. So I want to know. Has anyone else experienced this before.

Yeah. This has happened to me plenty of times. Once I told people I wanted to be a Marine, they looked at me like I was crazy, and told me I lackd the discipline to be a Marine. They told me I'd get sick of people yelling at me, and what not. All I have to say is, I'm only one more summer session away from becoming a second Lieutenant. 8)

I want to be an obgyn also and everyone shoots me down. They are like eww you wanna look at that all day. Or they will say "you're not going to be making enough money for all of that stress" and blah blah blah. I've even had someone say that many obgyn's wont be needed because the number of pregnancies has gone down. People say just dumb stuff. Someone has to be an obgyn though, why not me?

Well, damn. Lol. All these future gynecologists in the house. I wonder what people would tell me if I said I wanted to do that. Lol. You better believe it'd be something alot harsher than " the number of pregnanicies have gone done." It'd be along the lines of "You pervert!" Lol.

Ya'll be straight. Pregnancies may have gone down but not the number of people catching STD's. You guys are still gonna be in demand.
