I'm going to florida A&M for college for fall 05' (few days from now) just want to know if there were others out there making the move out of state. (i'm from new york).Finances were working agiainst me to go all the way to florida( I live in walking distance of my county's community college and I received a hefty amount from my other college choices(also nearby). but i just wanted to go to florida(no good reason other than there's no snow). I know there's gotta be others out there who were daring to go "away" from home. shout yourself out! Especially if you are from the north going south. I'm coming all the way from New York so it better be poppin!

I just had to get out of nashville,tn. Living somewhere for your entire live is too hard, everyone knows you. I needed a change of scenery so i'm going to Louisiana. I was going to go to Howard in DC, but my brother goes there and i wouldnt be able to get away from him, plus Xavier has a better pre med program

I always wanted to go out of state for college...but I had no idea that I would be going so far away (NJ to NC). I wanted something different from what I was used to, and I wanted to see what it was like to REALLY be on my own. I know that if I stayed too close to home then I would never really grow up. Plus, I wanted to start over, and going to school in a different state would allow me to do that w/o all of the negative energy

i felt the same way. i didn't feel like going to a college nearby would do me justice, personally.

True, my grandparents are HEATED, b/c I didn't go to school in Brooklyn. But It's good for me b/c I would've lost my sanity if I stayed home.

Hampton just fits my personality. Maybe A&T is for you. Do you have any regrets?
