As all of you 06'ers know, college application season is now in full effect. Like many of you I am spending time on retaking tests, working, filling out applications, scholarships and everything else in between. As we do all of this new issues are arisin'.
Right now, I am preparing to write my essays, something I originally planned to do in the summer. One of my top priority essays is for Spelman---my problem is that I don't know which one to write. When I say "which one" I am speaking of one of the following:
1) the essay Spelman asks you write you submit an online application or
2) One of the Common application essay questions (Spelman is one of 277 colleges that accept
the "Common Application.")
I want to complete the application that has the best essay questions.
Does anyone know what Spelman's online application essay is? I'm directing this question primarily at the 06' class (high school) because it would be most accurate. They (Spelman) might've changed the question from last year.
I have called Spelman's Admission office several times, and the officers I spoke with did not now what the online essay was. I was told it was different from the hardcopy.
I do not want to create an account on Spelman's Bannerweb/Online Application System until I am ready to apply. For this reason, I cannot find out the essay question that way.
Any relevant info would be highly appreciated!
Peace

I'm currently a freshman at Spelman and I advise you to go ahead and register to complete an online application on bannerweb. You don't need to have all your materials in order to use the system...you can go back and modify or add any information to any section that you want--until you hit that 'submit' button, no one will see your information. I submitted my application online and I preferred that because I was able to track whether or not they had reviewed my application. So my future Spelman sister, go ahead and sign up for an online app--that way you can see wut the essay question is and get started on applying! I wish you luck in the app process!
