Wus up yall? I'm gonna be a freshman at Howard in the fall and I have questions that I hope y'all can answer since I can never talk to anyone in the Howard Admissions Office.
1) If I am a journalism major, do I need to apply to the communications school?
2) Around when are we able to move into the dorms if we are incoming freshmen for the fall semester?
3) Are there any kind of placement tests for incoming first time freshmen?
4) Will you recieve good housing if your return the enrollment fee and housing applications around February?
thanks, and feel free to post any other useful info

Yes, journalism is apart of the School Of C *clears throat*, excuse me, i mean "John H. Johnson School of Communications". But i think if you declare your major as sumthin in the school of C, they automatically place u in it. 2) Around when are we able to move into the dorms if we are incoming freshmen for the fall semester? Around early or mid august. The academic calender shifts sometimes, so it isn't always the same. I'd say somewhere around Aug 18th is a safe bet. 3) Are there any kind of placement tests for incoming first time freshmen? Yes, there is a math one. I don't think it's mandatory tho. Just don't quote me 4) Will you recieve good housing if your return the enrollment fee and housing applications around February? Nope. Turning in your application and money early doesn't necessarily ensure good housing. If you are a freshman girl, the odds are pretty much betting on u being in the Quad. U just might luck up and get the annex (depending on your scholarship...& faith in God lol). But if you're a dude, u can pretty much count on Drew Hall being your new home. thanks, and feel free to post any other useful info
