I just wanted to get some opinions on what u guys think about "cross pledging" or joining a chapter outside of your school if your school doesn't have a chapter there.

hmmm and I had wondered why this post has 20 views and no replies?
I am not greek, but I do have friends up here who went through the process at other schools, but ONLY and I repeat ONLY because their school didnt have a chapter at their school. Also, we have citywide chapters that are based at a particular school up here, even though it is citywide...alot of cities have city-wide chapters if there isnt a chapter at your school.

Sometimes, I believe, it's ok to do that depending on the organization and situation. But, if there isn't a chapter at your school (meaning that it has never held a charter at that institution), why not start one up? City-wide chapters are funny to me. If your in school, start a chapter at that school as opposed to joining a city-wide chapter. The orgs that I've seen with members in city-wide chapters on campus don't really have much of a social presence.
