What are you doing to get 'there'

What has everybody done to get them where they need to be (their #1 hbcu or other school) Well I just tried really hard to stay focused this year. I made sure I took a full and rigorous course load (chuck full of AP classes). I ran for a whole grip of officer positions (NAACP prez, Class prez, NHS prez,). I started networking like crazy since the begining of like ...my tenth grade year! I know better than that...at Hampton it can be about WHO you know not neccesarily WHAT you know.

I basically just buckled down this year and got on the grind. I slipped up my 10th grade year because I was moving around a lot and was out of school for a lil over a month, so I really had to work my **** off 11th and 12th grade years. It paid off tho...I'll graduate(in exactly a week) with a 3.4...not bad. Could've done a lot better, but I opted to finish early and take what I had. This summer I plan to work, read, write, and study to prepare myself for the upcoming semester at my dream school(Jackson State)...I'm just so excited! I've been wantin' to go there since forever(about 6 years old), wait, that didn't have nothing to do with this subject...my bad! Ummm, yeah...

well...I just took alot of AP courses (ugh...too damn many...these exams are tiring)...did pretty well on the SAT, established good relationships with teachers and counselors (they wrote AMAZING college recommendations), had ALOT of extracurriculars...and kept my grades up...I'll graduate with a 3.5 (which **** ****)...but oh well....glad I got into UGA...it paid off

3.5 isn't bad at all
