Hey everybody,
I wanted to know if anyone has ordered a New Student Record Book (printed by Herff Jones). It cost $26.50 for a copy. If you don’t want a copy, but want to participate it’s $5.00.
In order to be included in the book, you select two activities you interested or like, what you intend to major in and a recent photo of yourself. “The Record” is described as “a pictorial directory especially for new students…” It includes info on academics, organizations, and social activities.
Is the same as the college yearbook or is it like a freshman only yearbook?
I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth the money. I’m sure it is. I have to submit the postmarked forms by June 28 or do it online at
http://www.herffjones.com/thefreshmanrecord/order
and submit the appropriate school ID number.
Peace

it's a damn waste of money... it's only worth the price if EVERYONE participates in it... basically it's got on paper what you'd find on Facebook for free. i bought one last year, and out of a freshman class of more than 1500 students, only about 300 participated.
