From what I have heard Howard has an excellent business program. They were ranked in the US News reports and the Princeton Review reports plus they got a lot of programs in coordination with your major that are available for the business students. Alot of Howard students tell me that the administration focuses alot of their attention on the business school. Im going to be a freshman majoring in accounting this fall at Howard. So if i get any information and you wanna know some stuff. Holla at me :-) What grade r u in???

Howard, Hampton, and FAMU have excellent business schools. Other leading programs to consider also are Morgan State, Clark Atlanta, and NCA&T. What area of business do you hope to get into? What characteristics are you looking for in your college experience? That might help narrow down some choices. Holla!

Howard is accredited and they offer lots of internship and job placement opportunities for students as early as their freshman year of college.

Morgan is accredited in business and has their accounting program accredited separately. They also offer many internship and leadership opportunities for you to get your career started. You have to make it happen and that is anywhere you go.

Old Head Here. I'm a Howard Grad (Finance). Grad Year: Prob the year yall were born. I went to a top-10 MBA program. I recruit for HBCUs (HSers) and my MBA program. The HBCU folks in my MBA class and the folks I seriously recruited from HBCUs undergrads (to go to my MBA school) ALL came from these 5 HBCU Undergrad Business Schools: Howard, Morehouse, Spelman, CAU & FAMU. There was 1 girl from Morgan State that I remember. I've recruited for my MBA program and the majority of the folks that had the right kind of work experience went to those schools. NO... I'M NOT HATING... I'm just keeping it 100. It just seem like folks from those 5 schools get a little better job offers immediately after undergrad. Just my IMO as a business exec, recruiter (company, college & MBA) and mentor. Now, I did see of other HBCU degrees applying and getting into top MBA programs but they were engineering or pre-med/biology (those schools were Tusk, Hampton, Xavier, NCAT and a few more...). But I didnt see any business degrees from those schools.

Yea I'm a finance major @ Morgan and I have a great investment research internship this summer w/ a reputable company in the industry (just felt to need to show that Morganites can do their thing too).... Howard,Spelman,Morehouse,CAU,and FAMU (all private except famu) have every company on Wall Street coming after them and it has to be the alumni from these schools who do what they're supposed to do on the job and who reach back to help those coming after them. I know at Morgan...the business program is AACSB accredited w/ a special accreditation for the accounting program. Our business school is excellent but the alumni don't reach back to help those coming behind them and build connections with the tops companies like the alumni at those schools more than likely did.
