I feel bad for this guy. Something he loves to do was taken away from him all because he missed out 4.5 hours? Thats ridiculous. But I guess this should serve as a lesson to all of us future hbcu athletes. Make sure Academics come first.

I don't think it was about placing athletics before academics, I think it was more so the guidance that he expected that caused the problems. Most schools, if not all, assign you an adviser who gives you advice on what courses you should take, amongst other things. It seems as if there were some athletic requirements that he and/or his adviser wasn't informed of and it led to his eventual disqualification.
It's a hard pill to swallow but I don't "feel bad" for the brother b/c when you're in college it's ultimately YOUR responsibility to make sure your affairs are in order. Just keep that in mind when you head off to school.
I almost lost out on the career I have now because of 1/100th of a point on my GPA.

thats messed up but no explanation i would find him faulty if he didnt try to make things happen make neccesary appointments but man o man can i relate cuz sitting on the sidelines of any sport ur in hurts like hell especially when ur a major asset to the team
