Question Has any one heard Da shop boyz New song "They like Me"? Now if you have , (directed toward females) Does this song bother you ? Like you want to get up and dance and can't just bacuse of what the song says in the chorus? Personally I'm hurt I loved Partay Like a Rockstar it was and still is one of my Club Night anthems. However then I heard "they like me" the beat was thumpin and I was YEAH!! but den I started listing to the actual wordz and I was like what staight female can sing this song! Maybe it's just me but um was anyone else just appalled and mad like I was?

So I found the lyrics [below] & listened to the song. As a female I'm really not even phased by some of the stuff I hear from artists, especially "rappers/lyricists" at the end of the day it's all about what sells to the masses.

This is what "people" want to hear so that's what "they" get. Not saying I agree with anything said in the song. But I just view it as such, a song, meant to do nothing but persuade me to buy anything Shop Boyz. I'm not offended b/c mess like this doesn't even pertain to me. [DUH] If you're offended then that means one of three things.

This is what entertainment has come to. You gotta love it or hate it! or I'll admit that I listen to nonsense every once in a while to be "entertained" but I prefer substance. You have to watch what you're feeding your mind.

First I don't agree with the above statement at all because what if your into the music and not the wordz. I am a band student I love anything that possibly the band could play. Cause They Like Me You trying to dance and juke cuz the beat is raw (David Banner) and can't cuz you don't agree at all with the wordz of the song (that's resonable isn't it?) it makes you sound like you a lesbian ! That was my problem! I still like the beat through I could see a highschool band playing this song the music scale is simple.
