Ok...so I finally sent my application to Howard, early action, on Oct 14th., Everything was recieved but I am still kind of nervous. I am a male from CT, my GPA was 2.9 (unweighted) in Honors and AP courses, and I scored a 1600 on my SATS.....What are my chances, and when will I be notified? lol

1600/2400 or 1600/1600 it depends well ummm from what I have heard they are yearning for males in the HU population have you seen the ratio??? Well the fact that your course load was Honors it should make a difference its almost a 3.0 but join the club there are a bunch of us waiting for our letter. We should be getting them back from and I quote the dude I talked to from HU 'the first week in december to right before christmas'. In terms of the chances you will get in I would have to guess depending on how well rounded you are with not only your courseload and gpa, but also ur standardized tests and involvement in extra cirricular activities and leadership positions. When you do get your letter u can post it up in the Acceptance Letter part in the Recruit area

You take honors and AP courses...that looks good. You play 3 sports...that looks good also. I think the average GPA of incoming freshmen three years ago was a 3.3 but dont worry...I think you have a good chance of getting accepted. However, because of your GPA you might not receive any scholarship money. So if you DO get in to Howard, you might need to find a way to pay for it.
