Whats good... i listen and perform Jazz. Some of mine are Thelonius Monk (if anybody has talked to me on AIM... thats who i get my screen name from), Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Duke Ellington (The duke was raw), just to name a very minute few... Outside of artist because there are so many what are some of your favorite standards? In A Sentimental Mood is my jump off (Duke w/ Coltrane and the Art Blakey Version).

I remember marching Night in Tunisia my freshmen year. It came out fairly good. We didn't ahve too many white people in the band... mostly Blacks and Puerto Ricans. The white bands couldn't stand us lol. How could we forget about My Favorite Things by Coltrane. Also Round Midnight by Thelonius Monk That funny Valentine by Wynton is tight but I love the Sarah Vaughan version (that first "Valentine" is serious, i love the strings too.)
