As most people in North Carolina will tell you, Halloween at UNC Chapel Hill is pretty damn off the chain. It just so happens that myself and a couple other people from the crew that I hang with went out there (along with about half of A&Ts student population). While out there I hooked up with a couple friends that go to N.C. State. They also brought a couple of friends with them. They were all black. Now, getting to my point...
My people that my friends brought with them tried to make it seem like because I go to an HBCU, not only am I an inferior person, but that my school is the absolute worst. Now, I know that A&T is not as big or prosperous as most white schools, but I hate it when they underestimate us. A&T contstantly ranks in the top 10 engineering schools in the country. Which means that for the money, A&T is actually the better school (it costs almost twice as much to attend N.C. State than A&T). But those same people are the ones all up in homecoming when it rolls around. Please don't tell me us folk down here in NC aren't the only people that catch this crap...

i used 2 think negative about hbcus until a few of my cousins who attend a couple came back with all their stories about their schools and i had a chance to attend a couple of classics and i enjoyed it so much
i think truthfully that a lot of people who say and think negative things about hbcus do it in order to make themselves feel better i know 1st hand i was one of them
