Your favorite spots on Campus

On the actual Yard it would have to be... the benches on the side of Douglass. A good place to do people watching (ie...what the hell does she have on? It aint summer yet!) and get a contact high at the same time. I also occasionally post up on the benches in front of the Fine Arts building...That way I can be near the bulk of my classes, watch the crazy antics of fellow Fine Art students without actually sitting on the Fine Arts steps and getting gawked at by the whole yard like a monkey in a zoo. As far as DC spots close to campus me and my girls hang out Tryst, a nice cafe in Adams Morgan and Cafe Mowenaj (sp?) right by Howard-Shaw Metro. I MISS HOWARD!!!!

You gots to chill in the Punch-Out, in front of the School of B and on the steps of Fine Arts

my usual chill spot was by douglass....I ocassionally would chill on the steps by the fine arts building, but whenever i go there, people look at you like "why are u here" and I really hate that. I actually try to be cordial and I get dirty looks. But whatever....other chill spots for me are the punchout, towers, and in front of blackburn

ANOTHER HANG OUT IS... LIKE IT WAS SAID BEFORE THE BRICK WALL IN FRONT OF BLACKBURN THE STEPS AT DOUGLASS BELIEVE OR NOT THE YARD ITSELF( CALL US CRAZY BUT WE ARE QUICK TO GET A BLANKET AND HAVE A PICNIC ON THE YARD) AS YOU CAN TELL WE CAN CARE LESS ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE THINK ...HELL WE'RE THE TREND SETTERS SIT ON THE BENCHES IN FRONT OF FINE ARTS ( WITH THE FASHION CREW....WE CRITQUE EVERYONE THAT WALKS BY THOUGH THE FASHION GIRLS I SIT WITH SOMETIMES ARE A LITTLE TOO COLORFUL FOR ME)

Mann the entire yard be my chill spot. any nice day the yard is POPPIN'... so nice in fact u might end up missin class caught up in the moment. usually I try to cop a bench near douglass or sumtimes those benches in front of blackburn and locke. My crews spot in the cafe was that lil VIP room to the left when u walk in, that you u could see errr one that walked in the cafe. I wish i took pictures of the yard those wonderful days so i could post. yall old heads remember the first day of spring or first hot day we had the 2nd semester?? everyone was flossin them days. the yard was like a runway! well if any more spots come to me ill post again... holla

man da yard was nice, but they critique people a bit too much, only chilled there when i was looking my best lol umm my spots: starbucks cook hall office just talking with athletes undergrad library:noone studies there its just the chill zone lol ha mickey d's or subway those lil food carts outside the school of b with the caribbeans more off campus...the malls of course or either this coffee shop at union station on the upper level

Hmm.. my favorite spots.. I used to chill @ Douglass, but then the freaks started **** out at night, so I had to abandon that spot, so as not to be mistaken for one of them.. I chilled on the Fine Arts steps during that like 4 week span when all of the probates occurred.. I had the best seat in the house... The overall yard was the place... I could always go to the football field when the band was practicing.. I dunno, it was peaceful there eventhough they made like hecka noise (it wasn't noise, just really loud).. I thin kmy absolute favorite place was in front of Carver or by the liquor store.. a lot of times, me and my friends would get some CDs and listen to music in someone's car at like 10pm-4am.... e'ry weekend.. and a lot of evenings.. It was fun.. you know.. just singing like we were **** until their Community Director came out and got us.. those were the days.. Next years chill spot might be the Ebany Love Palace or Slowe Hall, but definitely the yard again...
