Hey yall! I dont post that often so yall are probably not real familiar with me. But any ways my sad story. I was supposed to be going to Hampton University this fall. I had paid my deposit ($600.00) and was about to schedule my classes. At the last minute I realize that my parents cant do a Plus loan for me, because it's too risky. Their house would be on the line! I understand they're reasoning for not doing it. But ever since middle school I have wanted to go to an HBCU. But fortunately for me my older sister had connections at Bowling Green State University. (Mostly white folks) so I am going somewhere. But on top of not going to Hampton, my boyfriend just recently broke up with me, and my best friend and I aren't cool any more. All of this happened back to back. I'm happy about being able to go to Bowling Green. One good thing is next year I'll be able to transfer to Hampton! i can't wait! I think I just needed to vent. Whew...

My boyfriend goes to Bowling Green State. He's been around a mixture of people all his life so socially it wasn't much of an adjustment. Hope to see you at HIU in a few years.

I'm sorry to hear that you won't be joining us here at Hampton next year. Although I'm sure that you're disappointed at how things are turning out, you can be sure that it is part of a bigger plan for your success.
The reason that your boyfriend and best friend are no longer around you is because they would be interferences in God's plan for your life. I know this seems harsh, but God can see your heart and your future; he also knows the attachment you had to them. He would not remove them from your life without there being just cause - they would eventually cause you harm, or divert your attention from the future that God has prepared especially for you.
The same goes with your career at Hampton. There is a good reason that you are not here this year. Perhaps taking that loan would cause financial disaster for your family. You can be sure that there is something for you to gain at Bowling Green University this year that will make you wiser, stronger, or broaden your perspective. God cares for your success and wishes you to prosper, and would not bring about something that would be harmful to you in the long run.
I suggest that you spend some time talking to God, and ask him to begin to show you why things are going in this direction and how to align yourself with the plan that He is crafting for your life. I am sure that you will find more than you expected.
Stay strong, and I hope to see you here in the near future. Holla!
