Why Must We Call Our Handsome Black Men...

Why must we call our handsome Black men, ****? I don't see the point to it. They are men, guys, boys but not n!ggas, nuccas, niccas, etc. So why do I continue to see the ladies of HBCU's calling the males that label?

I think black people need to get rid of that word completly. Why do we as a people embrace the name given to us by our opressors (spell check)? Do you hear asians calling themselves chinks? No yet other races come into the only country we know as home and excel, when we continue to struggle....this just dont make since to me.

That's true, the ignorance is on both part, which answers GAPeach's question, y we don't excel. If we could collectively band the word then maybe we can get somewhere

I try to set an example put usually people dont listen...No matter what I do or say people will still be disrespectful.

cosign w/ all of this... i've neva been able 2 understand how a female could consciously refer to herself as a ****... maaan...if i ever called a female a ****, i will NOT be sayin' it as a compliment or "term of endearment" :roll: same wit "****"...only time anyone'll eva catch me usin' it is if I'm quotin' someone else or really do feel someone is being a "****" (ignorant)....& even then, i still don't like the word, period...so i try ta stay away from it altogether.... long as we keep the mentality around that these words r okay...& keep 'em so alive as a positive thing...we gonna keep strugglin' & not uniting like we should....
