Bennett College for Women is losing accreditation? It is now one of the seven historically black colleges and universities on probation with the SACS. I blame this problem on the lack of administrative leadership?

I thought they just got their accreditation back in December of 2003. Could they have lost it again?

I believe so because my brother wife is a graduate of Bennett and my brother is a Mason and his lodge just donated 25,000 dollars to them
There have actually been a number of sizable donations made to the school. The addition of Dr. Cole as the President has also made things much better.

Me neither. Its slightly ironic because they are our actual sister school (many people think Spelman is). Anyway, maybe they haven't lost it yet, but its around that time for them to be inspected again. I know that can cause qutie a stir too, but if they just got it again, i doubt they'll lose it anytime soon.
They didn't lose it, they're not going to. That situation has pretty much been resolved. They're back on the upward bound now. All this was actually taking place like two years ago...
I hate seeing these schools losing accredidation like Barbara Scotia I saw it on the news on Friday I think one of those days but the radio personality gave them some money. Tom Joyner. and I heard he gives some black school some money every month or year or something. it's getting crazy

Yea Tom gave MBC a million last year.It seems as if he is the only one that is really stepping up to the plate for these schools. This should be more reason for us to stick together.
