im not sure about buying gifts for boyfriends but a best friend i would buy him a shirt or something or hell just flat out ask them what it is they want
Men like things related to sports. Find out who's his favorite teams. If he's a big Braves fan, a Chipper Jones bobblehead should do him just fine. We also like car accessories. Get him a cool looking shift knob, or a K&N Air Filter (just ask for em at the desk...and he will appreciate you for it, IF he's that deeply into his car). If the guy is hairy-faced, and he shaves regulary, by him some edge clippers or a remington. Men don't care too much for clothing/shoes like women do (the real men don't, at least), but nice shirts can go a long way. If he's a grown man, and money isn't much of an object, get him an electric toolset from Lowes Home Improvement.
oooookay. Some men appreciate clothes, no matter what you say. If a nig wants to look fly, then he'll want clothes...anyways...
I have this thing with making wishes come true. I listen really hard to what he is saying and apply it to a gift. Like one time me and my guy were talking about hip hop and how he really wanted Busta's new CD...so I got him the CD and a ticket to the Roc the Mic tour which of course had Busta on the ticket.
He wants to learn how to DJ so I got my cousin to show him how to DJ over a 2 week time and then let him DJ at a party....no it didn't sound too hot...but its the thought that count.
So get in tune with their wants, wishes and things like that and you'll surprise him when he sees you were listenting (yeah...guys like that too)
Ummm... have you tried simply asking him what he wants?
and if you do ask him and he STILL doesnt know, what then mr mcgill??
*raised eyebrow*
 If he's your boyfriend or someone you're dating, or whatever, then he should care about you enough to accept anything that you give him, even if its just a hug, its the thought that counts. Granted, all the girls that I've ever been with have been in a lower social class, so I ruled out any kind of big gift. When they've asked, I'll admit, I could never come up with anything because I didn't want them to waste any money on me.
 If its just a friend, then money always works. Gift cards to stores like Best But and Circuit City work as well.

^^True^^ Because im in to clothes and I keep my gear up. But you should know his personality and what he likes so go with you think he would like or think of the things that he really talks about all the time..
maybe it's just me, but im a sentimental girl....and my gifts for others reflect that. My ex is a football player, so I went to www.buildabear.com and built him a football bear which i had personalized with his name and number....now he carries it to all of the games! Plus he's into Alicia Keys...so at some point I got him a huge drawing of her for his wall...plus i always bought him clothes (i dressed him better than he dressed himself). I say just find something that he's in to that may not be the typical thing...and run with it. He'll appreciate it!
