Those that have been following the New real world "San Diego," the issue of racism has appeared again. Is it o.k. for white people to use the "****" word, (with an A) with no intent to cause harm? This is an issue that plagues the black community.
Why do we get so offended? One can always tell if a white person uses the word to aggrivate or anger a person of the opposite race. Can we ever put the word into the sea of forgiveness and forget?
There are so many things in the U.S. that hold us back. And i hate to see an "ANGRY BLACK MAN" so caught up in the history of the word that he comprimises his ability to act civilized. Yes, its ignorant for white to use the word, futhermore, It makes us ignorant too!! those of us that use the word. Try ignoring the ignorace. W.E.B. Dubois wrote in his book "the Souls of Black Folk," Americas only handicap will be the "race-line." Dubois forseen the troubles that will plague this Great Nation, copywritten 1901. 103 years later we have turned into the angry black folks due to our history, when will we let go and capitalize in this capitalist economy? :?: :!:
In Conclusion, those that have not seen the racism episode on real world, I incourage you to take time to watch. Jaquese, the only black man on RW (like always) handles the situation with an open mind he stupifies his roomates and lets them know we all, "black and white," want the same things out of life, bleed the same color blood, read the same dictionary, speak the same words, and are attacking the American dream through capitalizing in this capitalist economy. Furthermore, we need to let ignorance stand alone, my ancestors were called niggers and every name in the book. But that did not stop them from achieveing equality. I don't know about you but I am indebted to those who paved the way and until I take advantage of every right given to me at birth. hhhhmmmmph...

I must agree with you. my friends and i just had a discussion about this topic last night. i know that racism still exist today but there are so many more things that our people need to deal with than being upset with this one word. by no means am i saying forget our history, i am simply saying why not use that energy that gets us so upset to continue the upliftment of our people.
