My step-father had this sayin that some of you may or may not have heard of..."A child should stay in a child's place"...which his meaning behind meant, if I tell you something, do it without any ifs, ands, or buts. Basically I was suppose to just sit there, listen, and take it, no matter if it was the truth or right or not! I obeyed this for a few years, but during my eighth grade year I started talkin back. We used to get in heated arguments all the time, b/c he'd express his opinion and wouldn't allow me to express mine, just b/c I was a child and I wasn't suppose to have an opinion. I was like kcuf that i'm a person too, and my opinion matters just as much as anyone elses. So if you come at me wit something i don't agree wit, I'm gonna speak up and say something about it whether you like it or not!

i couldn't watch comicview cuz my parents thought i was too young to hear what they were talking about when i was real young. It probably wasn't comicview then. when you was little yo mama never put a whole bunch of vaseline on ya face after you washed it cuz she didn't want you ashy faced?

My dad heard me and my brother singing a "Bobby Brown" song when i was 4 and he was 8 and we couldn't watch BET. But i always had my remote control on Flashback when he came home. Thats all i can think of my parents really didn't give me too many strict guidelines to follow by.

Mannn there are so many rules my parents have and still try to put on me its ridiculous.....but here are a few: ->Throughout my whole life i never went Trick-o-Treating because my mom said it was the "Devil's Day"...so i always felt left out around Halloween when i was younger:? ->We were never allowed to listen to "secular" music (RnB, Hip Hop, etc) it could only be gospel music.....BUT when we would go somewhere with my dad we would listen to it. Oh and dont even let us turn to BET or MTV-we would get a runaway-****-beating.....but needles to say my mother knows we listen to other things besides gospel and she dont say much....what can she say? ->When saturday morn cartoons came on we had to either wait for my mom to get up or read our Bible first-and by that time all the good cartoons were gone off..... ->Christmas........we werent allowed to come right down and start opening presents....we always had to have family "devotion"....and to this day my mom keep doin that........im like whateva-imma be outta here in a year ->Ive always had an outrageous curfew.....9th grade-9:00pm.....10th grade-10:00 or 9pm-depending on how my mom was feeling......11th grade-10:30pm or 11:00pm.....12thgrade-11:30pm or 12:00pm......freshman year in college (when i came home) it was 12:30...but now its 12am-which i think is ridiculous....and yes i have broken this a few times....cuz damnit it jus aint right! ->Oh and no dating-i was never allowed to have a boyfriend throughout school so i had to make sure my mom didnt hear me talkin on the phone to any guys or anything--but now i stepped up to her and told her that i do have a boyfriend and there is really nothing she can do to stop me (well not like that, but u know) she has accepted the fact, but she still thinks im too young :x
