Would you let her keep your last name??

Ok, we all know that in divorce, many times the woman keeps her ex-husband's last name. I wanted to get a census on how everyone feels about this. Would you want your ex-wife keeping your family name even though you aren't together anymore???
personally I wouldn't want some girl walking around sharing my
name like that if we weren't together. It sounds like there could
be some type of security risk with that. Like she could access
certain things with various accounts, etc. or something.

o0o0o my ex- aunt still uses my uncle's last name...im not too sure about that one..
I think she's still trying to hold on to him..you divorce him, you divorce the name damn it!! :x

As I female I really don't have an answer to this question....but I think some women hold onto it b/c of their children. When applying for things etc..when children are young you have alot to go throught I guess. So some choose to keep.
Ex. me and my mom have the same last name (my mom's maiden name)
my siblings have their fathers name and it becomes a hassle...Example its a hassle for me when I used to have to pick them up no matter what I'd have to go thru so much crap b/c our last names are different.
And the kids tend to be bothered by the fact moms name is different from theirs

well, i think they should keep the name
lets say youve been married 100 years
and allyour credit cards and licenses are in that name
i mean, you coulda even forgot your maiden name
now you end up like cher.
