Everyone used to talk about that book. I might be the only one who wasn't feeling it.

^^LoL, yeah, I'd definitely have to say that you two are officially the only two people I've ever met who didn't absolutely LOVE that book... but it's all good - everyone is entitled to their opinions.... I still haven't read it, but I've wanted to for a while, just because of all of the fuss.... But anyway - Terry McMillan's "Disappearing Acts" and Brian Peterson's "Move Over, Girl" - excellent reads!!!!

Oh I forgot to post a book. I just finished reading Love by Toni Morrison. All I can say about it is that the woman has done it again. It's a great book! I seriously can get lost in her writing. Clearly I can't say enough about her or the book so just do yourself a favor and read it or some of her other novels.

Up From Slavery......Booker T. Washington- This book displays what HBCU's were all about. Tells the life of Booker T. Washington, his training at Hampton and how it influenced his life work at Tuskegee. This is a personal favorite now and I think everybody should check this book out, and re-evaluate our reasons for being at an HBCU! Losing The Race:Self-Sabotage in Black America........John McWhorter- Hits some real sensitive issues facing black America. Initially seems like a black man just playing devil's advocate but he is spittin the truth. The Pact........Drs. Sampson Davis, George Jenkins, and Rameck Hunt-Three friends make a pact to become doctors make their way out the 'hood' and give back.
