I know it doesn't come out until the yard, but what is your opinion of what you've seen from previews, trailers ect., thus far? I actually saw it on Tues. and was awfully dissapointed. It was a mix of You Got Served and DrumlineI. don't want to spoil anything, but for me it was definitely a let down.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh It did look a little juvenile, but hey, was it atleast exciting or good steppin'?

The movie looks very unrealistic to me...it makes step shows look like a dance off...I heard that members of the PHC are not supporting this movie for that very fact...any truth to this rumor?

Well, the stepping was pretty mediocore in my opinion. The dance moves were definitely hotter than the steps, that's why it reminds me so much of YGS.
Look... you simply cannot capture the atmosphere and feeling of being at an HBCU on mere film. I hate it for people that didn't go to one. If you didn't go, then you simply don't understand.

I thought it was lame! So glad I didn't pay to see it. Freedom Writers on the other hand is a GREAT movie and worth every penny!

The movie was real... A lot of greek organizations use dancing as a tool to get the crowd involved. Slick there was more dancing than stepping but hey some organizations get away with it. The real steppers are the Sigmas and everybody knows that. We dance, step, flip, and make fun of other organizations. Stepping is real and fun...
